I know this isn't one of those exciting topics. Listening to people talk about backing up your data is about exciting as listening to your mom tell you to eat your vegetables, but recently I was reminded about how important it is. My wife had planned a night out to...
Software
The hub for all things SoftwareHow do I download video from YouTube?
The question I am asked most when talking tech with other youth workers is, “How do I download video from YouTube?” In the past I used a Firefox extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3242 Or sites like: http://keepvid.com/...
Seinfeld meets Gates
In case you missed it, here's the new microsoft commercial with Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. In fact it was actually kind of funny.

Delicious Library
Have you ever been looking for a resource and couldn’t remember who you lent it to? That is the task set out to be remedied by Delicious Library. All your resources are entered by holding the product’s bar code up to the camera on your computer, and Delicious Library then downloads all the information including an image of the Book, DVD or CD Cover or product image of the drill, microwave, or toy from Amazon’s product database and then places them on the shelf in your virtual library.
YouVersion Online Bible
YouVersion.com calls itself a revolutionary online Bible, and I it definitely lives up to the claim. It’s part social network and part online Bible. At the base of it, it’s an online Bible that allows you to post your own notes and thoughts on a passage. You can use this to organize your own study notes or even links and pictures, but the real power is you can share it others. This is where the social part comes in. You can have “friends” that you can share your thoughts and notes with. I haven’t really gotten into this yet, but it’s really cool. (My user name is crd55 if you want to be my friend)
